Company-wide AI enablement
Carano Software Solutions GmbH · AI Consultant · 02/2025 – 06/2025
Carano Software Solutions, today part of CarWise, wanted AI embedded firmly in daily operations, not run as a pilot project. My focus was enablement: getting business and IT teams to the point where they use AI tools independently, and putting a binding framework in place, rather than rolling out individual tools.
At its core were cross-departmental training sessions for a total of 70 employees, including, among others, Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing, tailored to their respective workflows. To carry the training into everyday work, I introduced Open WebUI: wherever data protection called for it, the language models ran locally on the employees' own machines. In parallel, I established AI-assisted development within the engineering team and provided ongoing advisory to the company.
What I built
- Design and delivery of cross-departmental training for 70 employees
- Introduction of Open WebUI with language models running locally on the employees' own machines, wherever data protection called for local processing
- Introduction of AI-assisted development with Claude Code and Codex in the software engineering team for faster development processes and better code quality
- Support for migrating existing software solutions
- A written operating policy with clear rules for the operational use of AI
- Introduction of an agentic AI chatbot for Sales and Customer Service
- Ongoing support through regular exchange and advisory on AI topics
Result: business and IT teams now use AI tools independently and productively in daily work, based on binding rules rather than individual experimentation.
